Seagulls @ 12 : Beyond Borders - SFFI's 12th Anniversary Celebration and 11th Commencement Exercises
Date Posted: 2010-05-30, Source/Author: Bing M.

The GRADUATES OF BATCH 2010 with their new inner circle family.

“Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you. And when you leave here, don't forget why you came.”

For the ten graduates it was the biggest most significant night of their lives last May 15, 2010. The Venue: The Bellevue Manila in Alabang. The Event: the 12th anniversary celebration and 11th commencement exercises. The Theme: Beyond Borders.

In a sense it was like an enormous birthday celebration for the 10 graduates of batch 2010. More like a rebirth in his/her unique way. One hundred fifty people came to witness a grand finish, Kuyas Ed Castillo, Mark Laurel, Jerry Yap, and Ate Chit Castillo presented the trophies and tokens to the graduates and their families as they walked the aisle smiling proudly.

Inspiring special parents’ testimonials from Ms. Beth A. and Mr. Bert M. were very well received each leaving unforgettable reminders of life’s lessons and seeing the incredible transformation of their sons from the program. Keynote speaker was none other than Mr. Robert F. Kuan himself, the founder of the biggest Philippine food chain – ChowKing, as he affirms the leadership potential of the graduates no matter how great the adversities would be, just hold on.

Highly anticipated performances of the evening were the Glee Gulls’ rendition of Michael Jackson and Cindi Lauper and other favorite 80’s/90’s hits of the highly rated TV musical Glee. Lots of pleasant surprises here where we all saw their singing and dancing talents, “ may ibubuga at maipagmamalaki talaga ! “ The Black Theatre presentation was another back to back hit earning it a standing ovation. It’s actually a hands play interpretation of the song “Family First “ by Whitney Houston and “Angels Brought You Here” using luminous white gloves set against a dark background. You should watch it. It’s truly magical.

Notables were the awardees for the Sobriety awards, the Jonathan Livingston Seagull award , SFFI Staff Service awards, and induction of the graduates to the Inner Circle . At siempre wala pa rin tatalo sa finale ng Gift Of Hope, a song that has brought more meaning for everyone present in every event like this. They all left definitely with a greater sense of Hope for their loved ones and for themselves.

Once again Congratulations to the Graduates of Batch 2010
